Maureen McCormick is best known for starring as Marcia Brady in the hit popular television show, “The Brady Bunch.” She was only 13 when the series started.

The much-loved American sitcom aired for five seasons between 1969 and 1974. McCormick was eighteen years old when the final season wrapped.

The child star reprised her role as Marcia several years later when she returned for the spin-off show, “The Brady Brides,” which followed the TV reunion film, “The Brady Girls Get Married.”

The famed television star made a comeback alongside fellow co-star, actress Eve Plumb who portrayed the role of Jan Brady in the show.

McCormick Got Emotional Talking about Her Brother

In February 2015, McCormick appeared on the British reality series “I’m a Celebrity….Get Me Out Of Here!” and teared up when talking about her brother, Dennis, who was born with an intellectual disability.

She expressed her hope to help people living with disabilities by participating in the show. McCormick revealed when her sibling was born, their parents were advised to put him in a facility, but they refused.

Growing up, she developed a passion for helping people like her brother. At the time of her stint on the show, she competed on behalf of a non-profit organization, Achieve Australia.

The veteran Hollywood star further explained that the organization offers services in support of the independence of people who are disabled.

McCormick revealed the organization plays a role in helping people like Dennis “get out in the community, and it includes them in our society.”

Sadly, the brother and sister duo’s mother passed away due to cancer, and Dennis ended up in a home that caters to people with mental disabilities.

McCormick Is a Wife & a Mother – Her Child Leads a Quiet Life

Dennis is not the only family his sister has. McCormick is a married woman and a mother. She wed actor Michael Cummings — whom she met at a concert — in 1985. The TV star once recalled:

“I turned around and saw this guy behind me.[…] I looked straight into his eyes and thought, ‘This is the man I’m going to marry.’”

The couple had a whirlwind romance but have remained together ever since. McCormick shared how she did her darndest to get to know Cummings better.

They spent time at church and eventually went on their first date. A month later, he proposed. McCormick revealed that her marriage with Cummings has lasted for so long because of their shared faith – they believed they would conquer all with their love for each other.

The duo welcomed one child together, daughter Natalie in May 1989. Although she has a famous mom, Natalie lives a private life and reportedly chose to pursue a business career.

Per reports, McCormick’s daughter owns a yoga business. Despite leading a quiet life, her mom often shares sweet photos of her and her father on social media.
