    Beloved Rhode Island traffic judge Frank Caprio, who captured the hearts of millions over the years, has disclosed his cancer diagnosis. The star of “Caught in Providence” shared an emotional video in which he briefly discussed his recent birthday before revealing that he has been diagnosed with pancreatic cancer, a particularly challenging form of the disease.

    Judge Frank, who is 87 years old, explained that the diagnosis came around his birthday last month, which is typically a joyous occasion for him. In the video, he expressed, “This birthday is a little different than any other I have ever had.” He went on to share that following a medical examination, he received a disheartening report confirming the presence of pancreatic cancer.

    Currently undergoing treatments in both Rhode Island and at the Dana-Farber Cancer Institute, a part of Massachusetts General Hospital, Judge Frank expressed gratitude for the “wonderful team of doctors” caring for him. He humbly requested prayers from his followers, acknowledging the challenging road ahead.

    As he bravely faces this battle, he conveyed, “I know this is a long road and I’m fully prepared to fight as hard as I can.” He thanked everyone for their past messages, friendship, and kind support, emphasizing the importance of the power of prayer in addition to medical treatment.

    Judge Frank Caprio had served as the chief judge of the municipal court in Providence, Rhode Island until his retirement in January 2023, concluding nearly 40 years of dedicated service. The heartfelt thoughts and prayers of many are with this incredible man during this difficult time.
